Glen Ferrarotto brings over 15 years of both deep and widespread Defence experience to his clientele, initially having served his Country for over 10 years. During that time Glen rose to the very top of his profession within the Australian Regular Army, serving twice in Afghanistan as part of Australia’s Special Operations Task Group. Glen’s commitment to serving his Country has assisted him in developing over the ensuing 5 years an impressive career within the broader Australian Defence Industry. Having delivered complex Defence Integrated Logistic Programs working with Land Rover Australia and Caterpillar Australia, Glen accepted the role of Defence Business Development Manager for a large UK based Defence Company. After successfully securing multi-million dollar programs and having developed relationships with Defence and Industry on all levels, Glen established his own consultancy, Ironside Defence & Mining which now provides targeted and highly sought after capability to the Australian Defence Force. Glen, through Ironside Defence & Mining, is currently engaged by the Australian Industry and Defence Network to provide Business Development Services to Victorian Defence SME’s. This role is funded by the Victorian Government and as a result, Glen has developed key relationships within many key State and Federal Departments. Glen’s networks also extend to the highest levels of Defence, DMO and Defence Science and Research Organisations. Through the above Defence industry networks, Glen is able to identify Defence initiated technologies that have real potential to be commercialised within any one or more of the Mining, Renewable Energy and Water Treatment Industries. In order to facilitate that commercialisation process, Glen has now co-founded Strategic Commercialisation Group Pty Ltd (“StratCom”) together with Andrew Logie-Smith, Stephen Lawson and Bruce Paterson, who have substantial experience and networks within those other industries. |
